Day 1Marrakech –Kasbah Ait Benhaddou - Skoura Oases –Roses Valley – Boumalne du Dades
We pick you up from your Riad or Hotel and leave Marrakech to begin our tour in the Dades Valley. We pass through Tizi-n-Tishka in the high Atlas Mountains where we pause to appreciate the mountain views. We visit the Ait Ben Haddou village which is recognized by UNESCO as a world patrimony. It is famous as a backdrop for many films, including; Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator and Alexander. We take lunch here before continuing on our way enjoying the natural beauty of the landscapes and historical monuments such as Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate and Roses Valley, which is renowned for the Festival of Roses. We also pass through the little Berber villages of Skoura and El Kelaa des M’Gouna and Boumalne du Dades. The latter is our final stop for the day. We shall stay overnight in a hotel which includes dinner and breakfast.
Day 2Dades Gorges –Boumlane du Dades - Tinghir –Todra Gorges –Tinjdad –Touroug –Erfoud –Merzouga
After breakfast, return via the Dades Valley until Boumalne in order to continue in direction of Tinghir and the Toudra Gorges, walk in the Gorges and afterwards departure to join Erfoud by Tinjdad Palm grove (lunch on the spot) and the one of Touroug. Break in Erfoud to visit the family marble and fossil production workshop and then going by track towards the amazing dunes of Erg Chebbi. Dinner is served in the hotel near Erg Chebbi where we will spend the night and listen to Berber music.
Day 3Sahara Desert Tour 4×4
In the morning, we start our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit a berber house and listen to some Gnawa music; originally from Ghana, and Sudan. We will visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads and oasis of palm trees. For lunch we will head back to Merzouga. After relaxing for a time we will go for the camels that are waiting to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara, which is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise. When we arrive to the camp, we climb the high dunes to see the sunset and spend the night in nomad tents.
Day 4Merzouga –Rissani –Alnif –Tazarine –Nkoub –Draa Valley –Agdez –Ouarzazate
in the morning you will have breakfast then be ready back by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga, start to the huge palm grove of Tafilalet through Rissani. Way towards Alnif (lunch on the spot), Tazarine Oasis, N’kob and the Draa Valley. Next, way to Ouarzazate via the small Berber village named Agdez and the mountains of the Anti-Atlas (1660m high). Dinner and night in the Hotel.
Day 5Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Benhaddou –Marrakech
Leaving Ouarzazate in the morning we will have another chance to visit Kasbah Ait Benhaddou for lunch and tour in this world heritage site. This famous 11th century kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films including famous Gladiator. After lunch we will start our journey back to Marrakech through Tizi-n- Tichka and reach Marrakech late in the evening where the tour ends.
